The Young Greek Photographers Platform provides a comprehensive framework encompassing exhibition, development and networking opportunities. Its primary objective is to promote emerging photo-based artists with a connection to Greece while showcasing the diversity and vitality of the Greek photography scene.

The submission of proposals to participate in the Young Greek Photographers 2026 program is free of charge.

This call is open to artists up to 35 years old who reside permanently in Greece or Greek artists residing abroad.

Benefits for Selected Artists

Exhibition: The selected proposals will be exhibited at the Benaki Museum / Pireos 138 from 10 June to 26 July 2026 as part of Athens Photo Festival 2026. The exhibition will then travel to Thessaloniki.
Production Support: The Hellenic Center of Photography will cover the production costs of the selected works presented in the exhibition.
Catalog: The selected projects will be featured in the Athens Photo Festival catalog.
Portfolio Reviews: Selected artists will take part in the Portfolio Reviews and engage with professionals from the international photography community, with the opportunity to receive feedback on their work.
Nominations: Selected artists will gain access to networking and collaboration opportunities, and their work will be proposed for consideration by international festivals and competitions.
Residencies: Two finalists will participate in the Photoxenia artist residency program in Crete. They will also have access to on-site research and the opportunity to develop new photographic work.
Mentoring Program: Selected photographers will have the opportunity to participate in the mentoring program offered by Athens Photo Festival and the Hellenic Center of Photography.

Submission Guidelines and Process

How to Enter
Apply through the online entry form and submit all required entry materials.

Submission Deadline
The submission deadline is 28 April 2026.

Multiple Entries
You may submit up to two projects. Each submission requires a separate entry form.

Receipt Confirmation
A confirmation email will be sent upon receipt of your entry. If you haven’t received confirmation within two days of submission, please contact us to verify the status of your entry.

Status Notification
All artists will be notified of their submission status by 10 May 2026.
