Terra Nullius explores those places of the urban environment where inhabitants choose to deposit old or unwanted objects. The awkward juxtaposition of heterogeneous materials of various shapes, colors and categories of origin or function such as natural or industrial, decorative or utilitarian creates a phantasmagoria strengthened by the city lights and the projector used to photograph them. Efthymia Tornari reveals these places where objects or ephemeral and random constructions gather and indicates how photography has the capacity to transform them. Simultaneously, she invites the viewer to create a hypothesis about the origin of the objects, their use and their finale.
